Fuuse Strategist
Works at Fuuse since April 2023

Background
I had just graduated from my studies in Human Resource Management at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam when I joined Fuuse. What immediately caught my attention was the way they found me. A recruiter approached me via LinkedIn, which had happened to me before. But this time, I immediately felt they were really interested in me as a person and that the recruiter, Gerard, truly cared. This genuine interest convinced me to come in for an interview. During the interview, I immediately noticed a great atmosphere within the team. I felt at home right away.

What do you enjoy most about working at Fuuse?
On my very first day at Fuuse, the team had a photoshoot for the website. It was a great way to start and made me feel like I was really part of the team. Luckily, the next few days were all about learning, with great people who made it much easier. You enjoy going to the office when you get along well with your colleagues. That makes work fun.

What was your best match?
My favourite match was for a Technical Accounting & Reporting Specialist, a role that we don't often mediate at Fuuse. This immediately made it interesting. I actually knew right away a candidate who I thought would be a perfect fit. This person was also proposed but was already in another process. Unfortunately, we couldn't move quickly enough, and he accepted the other offer. A long period followed with various candidates in the process who were just not quite right. After a few months, I called the person in question and asked how things were going at his new place. Not so well, he told me. He was open to another conversation. And as it turned out, he was indeed the perfect match. After a long process, it was clear that my initial assessment was correct, and I had selected the right candidate.

What were you doing five years ago?
Five years ago, I was halfway through my first year of HRM. At that time, I wanted to attend the Royal Military Academy and had no idea that this would ultimately be my future. My HRM studies were just a stopover, but I ended up staying. This was due to a combination of circumstances that ultimately made me very happy.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I'll still be happily going to work at Fuuse, just like in my first few days. I will have grown into a senior strategist, and I will have made many people happy with the perfect match. Our team will have grown, but it will still be just as fun.

What do you do when you're not working?
I enjoy sports, festivals, series and movies, Dungeons and Dragons, and other activities with my friends or girlfriend in my free time. Unfortunately, there aren't enough hours in the day to do everything!
